Hello, and welcome to my website!
My name is Paul Gitsham, and I am the creator of the DCI Warren Jones series of novels and standalone thriller, The Aftermath.

The first in the DCI Warren Jones series, The Last Straw, appeared in 2014, and since then the series has expanded to include nine full-length novels and four, shorter, novellas plus a couple of short stories.

The Aftermath is my new standalone thriller. Published in October 2024, it’s available as paperback and eBook.

Outside of my writing I am a former secondary school biology teacher, now an online tutor, with a Ph.D in molecular biology and experience working in laboratories in the UK and Canada.
Along the way, I have also spent time working at a major high-street bank, ensuring that known terrorists and other ne’er do wells weren’t using the bank’s children saving accounts to hide their ill-gotten gains.

Please note:

For local library talks, I don’t charge a fee, just the opportunity to meet readers and ideally sell some books. I am based in Coventry and willing to travel to the surrounding towns/villages. For journeys beyond that I charge mileage at the standard HMRC rate.

For workshops, I will charge a fee plus mileage, to reflect the time and effort put into crafting the lesson.
